Growing up being overweight, I always disliked running. In 2006, I decided to take control of my life to and become healthier. Running for me first started as another nate cardio workout. As my weight kept decreasing, my running speed and endurance increased. In 2007, when I first started running outside for the first time in awhile, my love/passion for really running started and since then I've continued to run. In 2009, I'm planning on doing my first marathon, the Marine Corp Marathon, I know this is big task for me, but I'm confident in my ability given the proper training to finish the marathon strong. I have done a couple of 5k's, one 10k and I have two half marathons planned for this year.
