Hi All I've been breaking things this morning - sorry  There's lots of changes to upload at the moment - which will happen over the next week or two. Also there's two more things that will cause some disruption: - firstly I'm moving the site database to a new home - this will cause some site downtime but will lead to helping the site keep getting better! I'll let you know when this is happening :) - secondly the server farm in San Francisco is doing some maintenance - so they've warned me: Quote:

The site will disappear tonight when the server maintenance window happens... Then as soon as it's back (let's hope it comes back!) then I'll switch to new servers - and I'll see if we can't get the first of these changes live

Hmmmm That server maintenance window didn't seem to go quite as smoothly as it should have done, did it? But I think we're out the other side now. Sorry about the disruption. I'll cause some more disruption soon!

OK There's lots of small changes uploaded. Most of these haven't been activated yet... cos there's lots more I need to change in the next week. However, the main big changes are: - a new search page for maps - see link above. - the site is now running on a much bigger computers - in fact it's running on two computers... This *should* remove the problems we've seen in recent weeks and months with database timeouts. However, I'll be watching closely to see if it does or not... or if it introduces new problems! Sorry for the disruption this evening... I didn't mean to break quite as much as I did! Stuart
