Our's is quite old now - a trusty Corolla with fully working brakes and no sticky accelerator.

After living without a car for several years, we do love our trusty Toyota - it's solid, reliable and just keeps going.

In my family, we've got five Toyotas. My oldest one I bought in 1986, and it's still going strong.

Every cars company has its problems. When you dig on the Internet to have an opinion about a model you find out that there is always issues...
At least Toyota didn't play it low profile. They assumed it and try to repair. French companies like Renault or Peugeot haven't played it so clean with their customers regarding their cars issues...

I've been against all Japanese cars since they devastated the British car industry in the '70s. Never mind whether or not the industry deserved it.

This is a totally totally unreasonable and probably indefensible viewpoint. I know so don't ask me to defend it! But I have never owned a Japanese car!

I love my Yaris!!!!

This is now my 3rd recall.... 1st time was something to do with the steering column could drop, then 2nd time had to have something done to the seatbelt.... now again with this latest problem. My local dealers are not booking in as yet but are going to call me next week to let me know when it can go in

they have always been good to me - i had a posh car cleaning kit from them from inconvenience last time i was called in & also when i had my last service i had a little goody bag on the seat when i collected my car (carton drink, rice crispie square, haribo!)

But even after all the problems i wouldnt swap it for anything else ThumbsUp

I have a Mitsubishi, which came out of the Ark. It's a great car and I love it, I like Japanese cars in general.

It does need replacing though, as it costs so much to service and get through the MOT, even though nothing ever goes wrong with it. I'm thinking of getting another Mitsubishi though.

Anyone see the cartoon in yesterday's Metro? MAn being shown a second-hand car, salesman saying, "It's a Toyota. The brown stains on the driver's seat come as standard."

I have just bought a big new shiney Rav4, I think its great and having owned a few French cars I have to agree with the fact Toyota came out and were vocal about it. I had hundreds of problems with my 307 and it turned out they were all quite well known faults they'd tried to hide. And when I had a Mini, I expected someone like BMW to be different, but no, same thing, lots of well known problems hidden from their customers to protect their 'image'

I have a Rav4, and it's a great car for triathletes. I can fit my bike inside in the back (with one seat folded forward) or on top on the roof rack, and a bunch of junk in there too. I've had mine for over eight years with hardly any problems.

BTW, here in the USA, the Rav4 is considered to be a small SUV RollEyes
